At VAST Steel, we pride ourselves in putting the holistic wellness of our employees, our projects and our company’s future in the forefront of every decision we make. We offer Structural Steel Erection, all types of welding, miscellaneous metals installation, rigging, metal decking and shear stud installation.

We currently have crews in PA, MD, DC, VA, OH and DE. We have the ability to work nationally and are always open to expanding our footprint.

CEO

Christina is one half of VAST Steel’s Executive Team: she is our VISIONARY! Christina prides herself in being a leader with a passion for seeing what others can’t. As a big-picture thinker and life-long knowledge seeker, she’s learned to build with heart, integrity, care and strategy. Now stepping into this bold new chapter as a female CEO – she’s ready to break molds, reimagine possibilities and shape the future of steel construction from the ground up. With her “Do Better Everyday” motto, Christina leads VAST Steel with the highest level of performance and expectations, not only for herself but likewise for her employees. Her focus on health and wellness is a huge pillar on which she is building the foundation of VAST. She ensures every employee is cared for on a holistic level, where they are part of a company that promotes happiness and health – physically, mentally and environmentally.

Some of Christina’s personal accomplishments include being married to her best friend (and now business partner) Mark, for 18 years and being the mother of four incredible children. She spent much of her early life as a dancer, focusing mainly on ballet. Dance is still a great passion for Christina. Her love of movement continues into her daily gym sessions, where she has gained the gift of mental toughness – a skill she believes every human should obtain. A mix of passion, grit, creativity and brains. We are thrilled to call Christina our CEO!

MARK

President & COO

Mark is one half of VAST Stee’s Executive Team: he is our EXECUTION! With his nearly two and half decades in steel construction, Mark has worked through all levels, from field laborer to Executive VP and everything in between. He brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of steel – from ordering tools and rigging, creating complex crane and erection plans to managing company Quality and Safety Management Systems to bidding complex projects and to being the go-to executive when stakes are high. Mark has been greasing gears and helping and helping things run efficiently in steel erection for many years and now sits at the helm of VAST Steel, where he brings his big book of “what to do and what not to do” to run the operations of VAST with knowledge and integrity.

Mark is more than just a “construction guy”! He is a husband, father, friend and a protector who cares deeply for others. Mark has never heard of a stranger! When he meets you, he will find an instant connection and develop a lasting relationship, which are some of his most cherished assets in life. He is also a great drummer who has played in numerous bands, from hard rock to jazz and everything in between. He is quick with a joke and loves to make people laugh. A rare mix of art and structure. We are elated to call Mark our President and COO!

At VAST Steel, we believe there are three pillars of safety that go hand in hand when it comes to employee well-being: safety, health and wellness. With that philosophy in mind, we have made intentional partnerships and systems in all three pillars of holistic safety.

We are proud to exclusively partner with Trivent Safety, a nationally recognized full service OSHA Safety Consulting Group. Together, VAST and Trivent have developed our company’s safety, health and wellness program – one that exceeds OSHA requirements and keeps the holistic safety of our employees in the forefront. Trivent also performs third party audits and assists with OSHA compliance, investigations and interpretations.

VAST has chosen the Safety Culture System – an innovative software that allows us to track safety on all of our job sites in rea time, eliminates paper and clunky desktop systems with its mobile app, and allows for efficiency and precision in the field. Safety Culture provides the ability to quickly build safety and inspection forms and allows VAST to administer robust safety training to all of our employees with mobility and ease.
