VAST Steel is seeking an experienced Ironworker Foreman to lead crews in the safe and efficient erection of structural and reinforcing steel. This role oversees daily operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within specifications, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Supervise and coordinate ironworker crews during erection, detailing, rigging, and welding activities
Interpret plans, assign tasks, and monitor progress for accuracy and efficiency
Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety procedures, including fall protection and PPE compliance
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to maintain schedules and resolve site issues
Train and mentor journeymen and apprentices, fostering a safety-first and team-oriented culture
Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications

5+ years of ironworking experience, including leadership/supervisory roles
Strong knowledge of steel erection, rigging, welding, and plan interpretation
Proven ability to lead crews and manage job site workflow
OSHA 30, welding, and rigging certifications preferred
Excellent communication, technology, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Physically able to work at heights and in varying conditions
